Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks on the sidelines of a Monday session of the Iranian parliament's Islamic Revolution party to discuss the latest developments in the country's foreign relations, particularly with regional states, the report said.
He also noted that the Saudi embassy in Tehran will soon open.
The top diplomat stressed that the return of normal relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia provides the two countries, the region, and the Muslim world with a great capacity.
At a weekly press conference on Monday, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said the re-opening process of the Iranian diplomatic missions in Saudi Arabia is in its final stage, reported IRNA.
Saudi Arabia and Iran reached a deal in March to resume diplomatic relations and re-open their embassies and missions within two months.
On April 6, the two countries announced the resumption of diplomatic relations with immediate effect.
Saudi Arabia cut diplomatic ties with Iran in early 2016 in response to attacks on Saudi diplomatic missions in Iran after the kingdom executed a Shia cleric.
