Brazil beat Italy in straight sets in the semifinal Friday and will face Russia in the men's final Sunday.
The Brazilians won the gold at the 2004 Athens Games and the silver in 2008, falling 3-1 to the United States in Beijing.
Murilo Endres had 15 points in the 25-21, 25-12, 25-21 victory over Italy. Top-ranked Brazil has won all eight of its Olympic meetings against Italy.
Brazil has won the gold medal twice, at the 1992 Barcelona Games and Athens. Russia and the United States are the only two teams with three gold medals in the sport, which joined the Olympics in 1964.
