In a statement on Sunday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also affirmed the continuity of the evacuation operations of citizens by land from the Qustul and Arqeen border crossings.

The ministry’s crisis room continues to receive phone calls, reports and inquiries from Egyptian citizens around the clock, seven days a week, via the following numbers:

01281943599 - 01283176894 - 01283176866 - 01283176900 - 01283176913

Egypt has evacuated around 80 percent of approximately 10,000 citizens in Sudan against the backdrop of the armed clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Moreover, Egypt has facilitated the crossing of more than 93,000 Sudanese citizens across the Sudanese-Egyptian border since the beginning of the crisis, Ahmed Ihab Gamaleldin, permanent representative of Egypt to the United Nations in Geneva, said last week.
