The Kasr El-Dubara Church, known for supporting revolutionaries since the January 25 uprising, is to hold its annual Ramadan iftar meal on Saturday. This year it will host prominent political activists, figures and artists during a dinner that is meant to break the Muslim fasting

The evangelical church is located downtown, not far from Tahrir Square. It is known for offering medical help to revolutionaries during the different clashes that have taken place since the revolution began in January 2011. It has also suffered police attacks due to its stand with demonstrators.

Last year's Christmas Mass and iftar dinner to break the Ramadan fast at Kasr El-Dobara were both attended by well-known figures, including the "Tahrir Preacher" Mazhar Shahin, activist Ahmed Harara, actor Khaled El-Nabawy, several former presidential candidates, as well as many political party members and activists.
