The special session of the education committee will be convening per a call from President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, according to a statement released by the trustee board of the dialogue,

A draft law to establish a supreme national council for education and training was prepared by the cabinet but has not been sent to the House of Representatives for a final vote yet.

In a media statement on Thursday, Diaa Rashwan, the general coordinator of the National Dialogue, explained that the education committee of the dialogue will discuss the draft legislation in its current form and then send its own proposals to President El-Sisi for approval before a final version is forwarded to the House of Representatives.

On Thursday, the trustee board announced the agenda for the third week of the dialogue, which is set to begin on 4 June.
