The 30-year-old forward is expected to feature in his final game of the season for Liverpool as they face Southampton on Sunday. The Reds endured a disappointing campaign, failing to secure any trophies and missing out on a Champions League spot.

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) unveiled on Sunday a list of seven-foreign based players, which includes prominent figures such as striker Mostafa Mohamed, Omar Marmoush, and Mahmoud Trezeguet.

Midfielders Sam Morsy and Ahmed Hamdi have retained their places in the squad after being called up in March.

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, Ittihad Jeddah midfielder Tarek Hamed, FC Midtjylland winger Emam Ashour, and Alanyaspor striker Ahmed "Kouka" Hassan have been ruled out of this game because of injuries.
