Zamalek's form has been inconsistent of late, drawing their last match 1-1 with Dakhleya FC, making it difficult for them to catch up with the second place and qualify for next season's African Champions League.
Currently in fourth place on 47 points, Zamalek trail second-placed Pyramids FC by 11 points.
Talae El-Gaish also find themselves in a difficult situation, sitting second from bottom with 26 points and needing results to move away from the relegation zone.
Despite the unconving performances, coach Juan Carlos Osorio is expected to stick with his newly implemented scheme 3-2-4-1 in order to bring an attacking intensity against El-Gaish solid defence.
He would welcome back international full back Ahmed Fatouh who has been out since April with a hamstring injury.
