The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) approved a maximum of 20,000 fans for the match, but Ahly officials are hoping to increase the number to full capacity or at least 50,000 fans.

"We want the largest number of fans to attend to support our team in the first leg match... and to achieve a comfortable win before travelling to Morocco to play the second leg," Ahly CEO Saad Shalabi said.

Ahly officials are hoping that the government will approve their request to increase the number of fans allowed to attend the match. The club is also planning to sell tickets to Wydad fans, but the number of tickets that will be available to Wydad fans has not yet been determined.

Ahly officials have contacted the Moroccan authorities and the Egyptian Foreign Ministry to make it easier for fans to acquire travel visas to support the club in the return leg. They have also contacted tourism companies to organize travel packages, and will announce the details within two days. The return leg will be played on 11 June at Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco.

The price of the third class ticket in the first leg match is EGP 100 and the first class will be EGP 300.

Ahly have reached the CAF Champions League final for the fourth time in a row after a comfortable win over Esperance de Tunis. The Egyptian side won the first leg 3-0 in Tunis and then held on for a 1-0 win in the second leg in Cairo.

Meanwhile, Wydad Casablanca secured their place in the final in a dramatic fashion. The Moroccan side drew 2-2 with Mamelodi Sundowns in Pretoria, but they progressed on the away goals rule.
