Ambassador Klemdstal’s remarks came during a short speech at the youth employment forum in Sharkiya governorate on Thursday.

The forum was organized by the Ministry of Social Solidarity in cooperation with the International Labour Organization (ILO).

Klemetsdal expressed her happiness that several youths attended the forum to seek job opportunities that would enable them to raise their standard of living.

She added that Norway provides financial support to such programmes, leaving the technicalities to international organizations such as the ILO.

During the forum, Nashwa Belal, Director of the Employment project at the International Labour Organization, explained that Norway has financed three youth employment programs in the last three years in Egypt, which are expected to provide 200,000 job opportunities for young people through 40 Egyptian companies working in various sectors.
