Friends of the composer told local newspapers that he passed away in the early hours of the morning due to health complications.

Social media was filled with posts mourning the talented artist, including from singer Karim Mohsen, composer Azizi El Shafei and lyricists Tamer Hussein and Khaled Tageldin among others.

Born in Alexandria on 16 August 1984, El-Nadi, who is known for catchy sing-along melodies, gained fame by collaborating with the biggest Egyptian and Arab pop stars over the past two decades.

Among El-Nadi’s hits are Amr Diab’s Amentak, Ya Hanah and Maak Alby; Tamer Hosni’s Ya Ana Ya Mafish; Mohamed Hamaki’s Ya Fatenny, Rasmek, Waddina Baeid and Hena Ganby; Nancy Ajram’s Betfakar Fi Eih; Mohamed Mohsen’s Fi Alby Makan and Ahlan Beeek; Mostafa Amar’s Heya among dozens of pop hits.

Other singers who collaborated with El-Nadi include Nawal El-Zoghbi, Ahmed Saad, Haitham Shaker, Abu, Mostafa Haggag, Amal Maher, Hamada Helal, Tamer Ashour, Shaza, Mohamed Rashad, Hoda Bondok, Bushra, Mohamed Ramadan and Hisham Abbas, to name but a few.

Mohamed El-Nadi has released a few songs with his vocals including Islamic ode of praise for Prophet Muhammad called Habibi Ya Rasoul Allah.
