Market watch: Gold continues dropping on Tuesday, Egyptian bourse ends in green

Gold prices continued dropping on Tuesday, and Exchange's benchmark, EGX30, inched up 0.84 percent.

  • The price of 24-carat gold dropped by EGP 11.5 to EGP 2,674.25 per gram.

  • The price of 21-carat gold fell by EGP 10 per gram to reach EGP 2,340.

  • The price of 18-carat gold fell by EGP 8.5 to EGP 2,005.75 per gram.

  • The price of a gold pound dropped by EGP 80 from Monday's price to reach EGP 18,720 on Tuesday.

  • EGX30 rose 0.84 percent and closed at 17491.18 points.

  • EGX70 jumped 2.54 percent and closed at 3,549.04 points.

  • EGX100 rose 2.11 percent to 5,221.4 points.

  • Market cap ended at EGP 1.137 trillion on Tuesday, up by EGP 8 billion from Monday's EGP 1.129 trillion.

  • Top gainer was Beltone Financial Holding rising for the second consecutive session at 19.94 percent and closing at EGP 3.97.

  • Top loser was port Development Bank of Egypt (EDBE) falling by 5.70 percent and closing at EGP 12.08.

  • The official market's buying price for the dollar is EGP 30.84, and the selling price is EGP 30.94, with no major fluctuations.

  • The euro fell slightly to EGP 32.96 for buying and EGP 33.08 for selling.

  • The Saudi riyal's buying price stands at EGP 8.22, and the selling price at EGP 8.25, with no major changes.
