"The management of Raja witnessed the continuous and unjustified absence of head coach Mondher Kebaier from his workplace in the club and from the team's training from Monday, May 29, 2023 until Monday, June 5, 2023," the Moroccan club's statement said.
“Kebaier's absence breached the contractual requirements binding the two parties, his obligations towards the club, and applicable legal requirements, leading to his unilateral contract termination by the club management,” the statement concluded.
Kebaier succeeded his fellow Tunisian Faouzi Benzarti as the head coach of Raja in September 2022.
Al-Mountakhab newspaper in Morocco stated that Swiss coach Christian Gross, Portuguese coach Jose Cardozo, and Moroccan coach Radwan Al-Haimer are the leading candidates to succeed Kebaier.
