Despite Ahly securing a narrow advantage in the first leg after defeating Wydad de Casablanca 2-1 at the Cairo stadium, Vandenbroeck has shown a vote of confidence in his team.
"We achieved a good result in the first leg, and it could be better," Vandenbroeck told reporters early on Friday.
"In the first half-hour of the first leg game, we did not play well, but we developed our performance after that as the goal we scored away from home changed the situation, and the players returned home with high confidence," the 43-year-old coach added.
The return leg of the Champions League final will take place at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca on Sunday.
"We will play the second leg in high motivation supported by a huge number of fans, and I am confident of achieving a good performance to reach our target," the Wydad coach said.
Wydad are bidding to claim their fourth CAF Champions League title, while Ahly are seeking a record-extending 11th Champions League title.
