The team secured their promotion after a 3-1 victory over Wadi Degla SC in the 29th round of the second division league on Friday.

Ahmed "Revo" Refaat opened the scoring for ZED FC in the 21st minute, followed by Mohamed Samir, who added the second goal from a penalty kick in the 84th minute. Mustafa Sultan sealed the victory for ZED FC with a goal in the 94th minute, before Wadi Degla SC scored their only goal from a penalty spot in the 96th minute.

ZED FC finished at the top of Group B with 62 points, ahead of their nearest rivals, Wadi Degla SC, who finished with 54 points.

Zed Sports Investment took over FC Masr in 2020 and renamed it Zed Football Club. FC Masr was founded in 2009 and played once in the Egyptian top flight in 2019.
