Ahly will face Wydad in the second leg of the final at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca after having secured a narrow advantage in the first leg, defeating the Moroccan side 2-1 at the Cairo Stadium.

The trio emphasized that their squad is fully focused on the game and their only target is to win their 11th Champions League title.

The 27-year-old Sherif said that Ahly always aim to win championships, and they are entering Sunday's game with their eye on their 11th title in order to become the most crowned club on the African continent.

“We ended the first half in Egypt by winning two goals to one, and now we enter the second half of the match in order to victory and delight our fans in the championship,” Sherif said.

A difficult game

El-Shahat said that Sunday’s game will be difficult for both teams, but Ahly players are not under any pressure, as they are trying to build on their success in the first leg.

“The fans will not put any pressure on Ahly players; on the contrary, they will be a strong motivation for our team. However, Wydad will suffer from great pressure during the game, especially as they need to score,” the 30-year-old winger said.

El-Shahat concluded his remarks by stressing that all Ahly players are ready for the game, and they will be able to win the title from Morocco to make the fans happy.

We are ready

El-Sulaya also said that Ahly players are used to difficult confrontations over the past years, and everyone is ready to give everything to win the title.

“We know that Wydad players will do their best, especially as they play at home and among their fans, but we have prepared well for this encounter after the end of the first leg in Cairo,” Al-Sulaya explained.

“We all know very well how strong is Wydad, and that they are a great team; anything can happen in football. All the players are used to playing in such circumstances, and we are working very hard to win the title,” the 33-year-old concluded.

The Red Devils are vying to win their 11th Champions League title in their 16th appearance in the finals of the continental tournament.

Meanwhile, defending champions Wydad, who beat Ahly in the 2022 final, will be on course to win their fourth title in their sixth appearance in the tournament's final.
