The additional routes will be operating alongside the normally scheduled service, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Transport on Saturday.

On the Cairo-Aswan route, there will be a total of four additional VIP trains operating on specific days during the holiday period. On the same route, there will be two extra third-class air-conditioned trains and four air-conditioned trains operating at certain times.

The Alexandria-Aswan route will also see an increase of two trains.

Moreover, two additional Talgo trains will be in service between Cairo and Luxor during this period.

Trains will also be operating specifically for the Nubia region, including Abu El-Reesh and Al Jaafra.

A detailed description of the additional routes with their dates can be found on the Facebook post announcing the new schedule.

These measures aim to accommodate the increased travel demand and provide convenient transportation options for people during the Eid Al-Adha holidays. This year, the four-day holiday is expected to begin on 28 June.
