Trezeguet, who plays for Trabzonspor, was the hero of the match, scoring and assisting the second goal after coming on as a substitute for Omar Marmoush.
"We target the Africa Cup of Nations title. We were dealt with bad attitude from fans since our arrival in Morocco, but we finally secured the victory." Trezeguet said on a television programme early on Thursday.
The 28-year-old star urged Egyptian fans to give more respect to the current generation of players.
Trezeguet's goal was his ninth for Egypt since he started playing for the national team in November 2014.
"We are proud of our achievement and we aim to achieve more with the national team," he added.
With one game left in the qualifiers, Egypt is leading Group D with 12 points, three ahead of Guinea, who are also on the verge of qualifying for the Nations Cup.
Ethiopia and Malawi, currently third and fourth in the group with three points each, will face off in Ethiopia on Tuesday.
