During his visit, Borrell, who is also the vice-president of the European Commission, will meet with President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi.
He will also meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Defense Mohamed Zaki, Director of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel and Secretary General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Abul-Gheit.
The EU Delegation's statement emphasizes that the visit presents an opportunity to review and strengthen the partnership between the EU and Egypt.
Additionally, discussions will include cooperation between the EU and the League of Arab States, addressing common global and regional challenges such as migration, energy, counterterrorism and food security.
