The United Arab Emirates called on Israel to deescalate the situation and to stop engaging in any activities that may exacerbate the situation in the Palestinian Territories.
It also called on the Israeli government to put an end to illegal practices that threaten the Middle East peace process and pose an obstacle to the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Qatar, for its part, called the assault the latest in a series of “horrific crimes” against the Palestinian people, warning against the fading chances for peace. It also stressed the need for the international community to protect the Palestinians and to compel Israel to stop its violations of international law.
Similarly, Tunisia denounced the assault and called on the international community to bring an end to the “repeated and systematic aggression” against the Palestinian people and to Israel’s flagrant violations of international law.
"These attacks only exacerbate situations that may spiral out of control, and undermine efforts to reduce tensions in the occupied territories," added the statement.
The statement’s came after Egypt affirmed in its own statement on Monday its rejection of the assault, “which contradicts all international laws and charters.”
Elsewhere in the West Bank on Tuesday, Israeli forces killed a young Palestinian man, Palestinian health officials said, the latest death in a surge of violence that has wracked the region.
The death toll from the assault on Jenin rose to six on Tuesday, after 48-year-old Palestinian man Amjad Aref Abu Jaas succumbed to wounds sustained, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said.
The occupation army raid on Jenin camp, lasting for more than 10 hours, saw Israel use helicopter gunships in the West Bank for the first time in several years.
In retaliation, Palestinian militants detonated a large roadside bomb under an Israeli armored vehicle.
Israel forces have been carrying out near-nightly daily raids in the West Bank where at least 126 Palestinians have been killed this year, according to AP figures.
