Amir Tawfik, the acting executive director of Ahly's football company, has resolved all financial and managerial issues with the players after agreeing with the club's chairman, Mahmoud El-Khatib, on the contract details, according to a statement on the club's official website.

The 31-year-old El-Shahat, who joined the Red Devils in January 2019 from UAE side Al Ain, has made a big impact with the Red Devils in 172 appearances, scoring 39 goals and providing 42 assists.

El-Shahat's contract was set to expire at the end of this season.

Multiple trophies!

In 2018, El-Shahat joined Al Ain in July 2018 from Maqasa in a deal estimated at $3 million.

In four years with Ahly, El-Shahat helped the club win 11 titles with Ahly, including two Egyptian Premier League titles, two Egypt Cup trophies, two Egyptian Super Cup trophies, two African Super Cups and three CAF Champions League titles.

He made 12 appearances in the FIFA Club World Cup, including four games with Al Ain and eight games while wearing Ahly's jersey, scoring three goals and providing two assists in the prestigious tournament.

The Egyptian international winger made his debut in the Pharaohs squad in May 2018 under the helm of Argentinian coach Hector Cuper, making seven appearances to date.
