“I am here with those who make glory in the present and the future,” Koulibaly said in a video posted on the club’s official Twitter account on Sunday.

Koulibaly arrived at Chelsea in the summer of 2022, signing a four-year contract after transferring from Serie A side Napoli.

Al-Hilal are looking to boost their squad after a disappointing season that saw the club lose their league and Champions League titles.

The Riyad-based club signed Portugal international midfielder Ruben Neves from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a three-year deal.

They are not the only Saudi Arabian club to have made high-profile signings in the past year, with Cristiano Ronaldo joining Al Nassr in December 2022.

This season Champions Al Ittihad signed Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema earlier this month, while the club also confirmed Chelsea’s French midfielder N'Golo Kante's move earlier this week.
