The meeting comes upon a request from Palestine in coordination with Egypt and Jordan, said the Permanent Representative of Palestine to the AL Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk.
It comes in light of the continuing brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people throughout the cities, camps and villages, Al-Aklouk added.
Israeli forces attacked the city of Jenin earlier on Monday, killing five Palestinians and injuring 27.
Al-Aklouk noted that the meeting is set to discuss effective means to stop Israeli aggression, hold the perpetrators accountable, and request international protection for the Palestinian people.
For his part, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Ishtaye accused Monday the Israeli occupation army of committing what he termed as "war crimes" against the Palestinians in the northern West Bank city of Jenin.
"Israel is attempting to wipe out the Jenin refugee camp," Ishtaye told the meeting, adding that "the Palestinian people will not surrender to this aggression, but they will resist it until the end of the criminal occupation."
