Al-Menfi had received an invitation from President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to participate in the summit.
The invitation was delivered by the Chargé d'Affaires of the Egyptian Embassy in Libya, stated the Libyan Presidential Council earlier on Wednesday.
The summit aims to settle on mechanisms to end the conflict ongoing since mid-April between Sudan’s Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, reported Al-Qahera News.
The gathering will see the participation of heads of state and government from Egypt, Libya, Chad, Central Africa, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Eritrea.
El-Sisi stated last month that Egypt is keen on settling the Sudanese crisis, voicing hope that stability would be restored in the nearest time possible.
About 2.2 million Sudanese have been displaced within the country and 645,000 fled across borders, according to the International Organization for Migration.
Egypt has received more than 200,000 Sudanese fleeing the conflict since the eruption of the war.
Moreover, Egypt has delivered tens of tons of medical supplies to Port Sudan and has facilitated the transport of tens of tons more of international humanitarian aid to the country.
