The SCA also declared that it is participating in the 32nd edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS), held from 27 – 30 Sept. 2023, at Port Hercule in Monaco.

This is the SCA's first participation in the MYS.

In a statement issued Monday on the occasion of the SCA's participation in the MYS, the SCA said it was enhancing the services provided to yachts crossing the canal by offering advanced berthing services in its marinas and expanding beyond canal transit services.

According to the statement, the SCA will showcase the new Ismailia Yacht Marina development project at the MYS.

The marina is Egypt's first for yacht tourism. It provides yachts with recreational services and other essential services, including fuel supply and yacht maintenance.

Located in Ismailia's Lake Timsah, the Ismailia Yacht Marina is the first green marina in the Middle East and Africa, according to previous statements of SCA chairman Osama Rabie in June.

According to Rabie, the Ismailia Yacht Marina will be inaugurated in two months.

Egypt has been implementing a national plan since August 2021 to raise the efficiency of existing ports and marinas and construct new ones in areas that attract tourism.

In September 2022, Egypt launched its first online platform to promote yacht tourism in Egypt.

The government will also develop a marketing plan to boost yacht and ship tourism in Egypt.
