The business group is co-chaired by Foreign Minister Shoukry and Nassef Sawiris, CEO of OCI Global, which operates in the fields of hydrogen, nitrogen, and energy.

According to Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu-Zeid, Shoukry said COP27, which was hosted by the Egyptian Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh in November 2022, had widespread participation from nations and administrations, as well as representatives from the corporate sector.

Shoukry emphasized the importance of the business community and corporates in dealing with the effects of climate change, as well as their participation in putting Sharm El-Sheikh climate summit conclusions into action.
