The deadline was extended to account for this month's official holidays, the minister clarified.
The extension is specifically for Thanaweya Amma exams students. For students with equivalent certificates, separate application dates will be announced after the release of their results.
Multiple national universities across Egypt require Thanaweya Amma students to pass an aptitude test to secure admission to faculties that are usually of a practical and applied nature and require a student to possess specific skills for entry.
This is in addition to scoring the minimal grades required for university admission and specialization in their final year exams.
Applications for the faculty qualification exams may be submitted electronically as stated by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education earlier this month.
The education ministry clarified the majors and universities that require these tests and they are as follows:
Faculties requiring an aptitude test:
1. Fine arts in specialties of arts and architecture.
2. Applied Arts in Helwan, Damietta, Banha, and Beni Sweif universities.
3. Music education in Zamalek at Helwan University.
