The 23-year old swimmer advanced to the final after finishing fifth in the semifinals with a personal best of 22.94s.
It was the first time an Egyptian swimmer has made it to the final in this event at the World Aquatics Championships.
Sameh’s best achievement in his career was claiming the silver medal in the Barcelone tournament in May with 23.39s.
