Egypt condemns suicide bombing in Somalia

Egypt condemned on Tuesday a suicide bombing that targeted a military targeted a military training camp Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu on Monday killing dozens and injuring many more.

The bombing left 30 dead and 73 injured, as reported by news agency Reuters.

The bombing was claimed by the Al Qaeda-linked Al Shabab terrorist group, which has been carrying out attacks since it had been forced from many territories in the southern area by the Somalian army in 2022. 

Egypt expressed its sincere condolences and sympathies to the government and people of the Somalia as well to the families of the victims.

Finally, Egypt wishing a speedy recovery for all the injured, and affirming its stand by brotherly Somalia in confronting all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism
