Swimming: Egypt’s Ramadan stumbles in 100m freestyle heats at World Aquatics Championships

Egyptian swimmer Youssef Ramadan stumbled at in the 2023 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan after finishing in 26th place in the men’s 100m freestyle heats on Wednesday.

The 21-year old Ramadan clocked in at 48.77s.

He secured 887 points, 67 behind first-placed British swimmer Matthew Richards.

Ramadan was Egypt’s sole representative in Wednesday’s events of the prestigious tournament.

On Thursday, Egyptian swimmer Mohamed Mohamdy will be competing in the 200m backstroke event.

This year's championships are taking place from 14-30 July.
