The 23-year-old has penned a four-year contract that will keep him with the Cairo giants until the summer of 2027.
Slim, who is a production of Raja de Casablanca youth teams, joined FAR Rabat in 2017.
He played a vital role in FAR Rabat's triumphant campaign last season, scoring 11 goals and providing another 10, which saw them win the Moroccan league for the first time since 2008 and the 13th in the club's history.
Slim is Ahly's second new signing this summer, following the signing of international midfielder Emam Ashour, who joined the club from Danish side Midtjylland FC earlier this month on a five-year contract.
Despite having an excellent season that saw the club win all possible titles, Ahly are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the next season.
