Temperatures across Egypt will drop 2-3 degrees Celsius Tuesday through Sunday, but high humidity will persist, Egypt’s Meteorological Authority (EMA) reported on Monday.

Despite the lower temperatures, the EMA warns that August will bring with it the highest humidity levels of the summer, which will increase the felt temperature.

Highs in Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta are predicted to be between 35-37 degrees Tuesday-Sunday.

However, the humidity will make it feel more like 38-40 degrees.

For the past few weeks, Cairo residents endured furnace-hot days, with temperatures soaring between 38 and 40 degrees.

For those looking for relief at the beach, the North Coast will offer slightly cooler temperatures with highs hovering around 32-34 degrees.

Additionally, occasional wind is expected on the northwest coast, contributing to a milder atmosphere.

Residents in South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt will also get some relief. Highs will range between 39-42 degrees, with felt temperatures of 41-43 degrees. This comes after weeks of highs of 42-43 degrees that felt like 43-45.

Meanwhile, southern Upper Egypt is set to experience scorching hot days with actual temperature highs of 42-44 degrees that feel like 43-45.
