In the meeting, the foreign ministers of Sudan's neighbouring countries will deliberate on the security, political, and humanitarian dimensions of the crisis, read the statement.
They will also assess its impact on the Sudanese people and its wider regional and international repercussions.
The primary objective will be to devise actionable proposals for neighbouring states to help end the crisis.
The proposed solutions will aim to preserve the unity of Sudan, ensure regional stability, and safeguard the country’s valuable resources, the statement added.
The ministerial mechanism was established during the Sudan’s Neighbouring Countries Summit held on 13 July in Cairo.
During the summit, participating countries, including Egypt, Libya, Chad, Central Africa, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Eritrea, along with representatives from the Arab League and the African Union Commission (AUC), discussed strategies to halt the bloodshed in Sudan and manage its repercussions on neighbouring nations.
