Israeli occupation forces and settlers committed 900 attacks against Palestinians in July

The Israeli occupation forces and settlers committed 897 attacks against Palestinians, their properties, and their holy places during July, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Palestine News Agency WAFA said.

These assaults encompassed direct attacks on individuals, property vandalism, land leveling, village storming, tree uprooting, and property confiscation.

The majority of attacks occurred in the Jerusalem governorate (148), followed by Nablus (140) and Hebron (113). Settlers were responsible for 202 attacks, concentrated mainly in Nablus (65), Ramallah (35), and Hebron (28).

The Commission said that July saw 139 demolition, construction stoppage, and facility evacuation orders issued, describing it as “a record rise that warns of many more demolitions in the next period.” 

Jericho had the highest number of notices (53), trailed by Hebron and Salfit with 19 each.

Occupation forces demolished 41 homes and commercial establishments, predominantly in Hebron and Jerusalem.

​The report said the Israeli forces and settlers vandalized a total of 2,552 trees by cutting and uprooting them, mainly in the Nablus governorate (1,173), followed by the Hebron governorate (695).

Additionally, in July, the Israeli occupation authorities approved 310 settlement units in 33 structural plans, with 622 more settlement units on the table, impacting a vast area of 925,328 dunums of Palestinian land.
