The White Knights had a season to forget since they failed to secure any title in the various tournaments they participated in, including their recent disappointment in the Arab Cup.
“The group of young players who were promoted to the first squad the previous season initially struggled to showcase their abilities, but they have shown improvement over time, and their development will continue,” Osorio told the club’s TV channel.
The 62-year-old tactician expressed his pride in his work with the Cairo Giants, explaining the team’s goal is to apply pressure in the field in the most effective manner, emphasizing his gratitude to the club’s fans.
“I would like to thank Zamalek supporters for their unwavering support of the team,” the Colombian tactician added.
Osorio also revealed that the squad needs to be reinforced with new signings.
"We require the acquisition of three or four new players, and we have confidence in the club's board of directors to fulfill our needs.”
With the new signings, Zamalek will “possess a formidable team capable of contending for all championships in the upcoming season," he added.
Zamalek are set to participate in the CAF Confederation Cup next season after finishing third in the Egyptian Premier League, in addition to domestic competitions.
Osorio took charge of the team in mid-season, assuming the helm in April.
