“The recent reports suggesting my desire to leave the club are merely unfounded speculation on social media, and only God knows their true origin," the Zamalek star said on his Instagram account.
Zizo emphasized that his loyalty lies with Zamalek, saying that if the club’s management decided to make use of his transfer fee, he would wholeheartedly support the decision.
“I am committed to staying with the club and contributing during challenging times, leading to eventual triumph," he added.
He also expressed his gratitude to the club’s fans for their unwavering support.
Zamalek has turned down an offer to transfer Zizo to Al-Shabab in the Saudi League, as confirmed in a recent club statement.
Officials from Zamalek have expressed their keen interest in retaining the 27-year-old for the duration of his contract, which has been extended until 2025.
"We must unite as one under the Zamalek banner, to prevent a repeat of the challenges faced in the previous season," Zizo concluded his statement.
Zizo's outstanding performances have been instrumental to Zamalek's successes, scoring 65 goals and contributing 53 assists across 200 appearances with the club.
After he joined Zamalek in the 2019 season, he was crowned the league's top scorer in 2021/22 and played a pivotal role in securing consecutive league championship titles.
Additionally, Zizo played a vital part in Zamalek's victories in the Confederation Cup (2018/19), Africa Super Cup (2019/20), Egyptian Super Cup (2019/2020), and Egypt Cup (2020/21).
On the international stage, Zizo has represented Egypt in 29 matches, scoring two goals.
Zizo's football journey began in 2013 with the Wadi Degla U23 team.
He subsequently honed his skills in Europe with Lierse SK in Belgium and Nacional in Portugal before signing with Moreirense in Portugal.
