The Cairo giants held a ceremony on Wednesday to honour the club's football team, as well as other teams that achieved success in various sports.
The football team enjoyed a highly successful season, clinching five titles at the local and continental levels.
"I am extremely proud to be recognized alongside my teammates," said Mohamed El-Shennawi on Wednesday.
"I would like to extend my gratitude to the club's management for their unwavering support throughout the season. I also want to thank the players and the technical staff for their tremendous efforts during the previous season."
"Our preparations for the new season will commence on Thursday, and I assure you that the players will give their utmost dedication.
“We have a strong desire to secure more titles in the upcoming season," El-Shennawi concluded.
