Pyramids FC, who finished as runners-up last season, are currently in Turkey for their pre-season preparations.

This upcoming season marks their first-ever participation in the CAF Champions League.

The team's campaign kicks off in mid-September when they face APR of Rwanda in the first round of the continental competition.

"We must approach the season with confidence and humility," Mamdouh Eid stated during an interview at the club's media center on Wednesday.

"Our goal is to win all possible titles, especially the Egyptian League and the CAF Champions League. We are fully committed to make history."

Pyramids FC made notable signings this summer, acquiring Congolese striker Fiston Mayele from Young Africans SC of Tanzania, as well as Zamalek's Youssef Nabih and Seif Gaafar, and Future FC trio Mohannad Lashin, Mahmoud Marei, and Mohamed Reda.

These signings have bolstered the team's squad, positioning Pyramids FC as a formidable contender at both the domestic and continental levels in the upcoming season.

"We now have two strong teams, and all players are capable of earning a starting role," Eid added.

"The team is well-prepared for the upcoming season, and we look forward to a promising start."

Formerly known as Al-Assiouty Sport, Pyramids FC emerged as a football powerhouse in Egypt following its acquisition by foreign investors in 2018.

The club reached the Egypt's Cup final twice in 2019 and 2022, and finished as runners-up in the domestic league for the past two seasons.

On the continental stage, they reached the final of the Confederation Cup, narrowly losing 1-0 to RS Berkane.

Pyramids FC was bought by UAE businessman Salem Al-Shamsi in July 2019 from Turki Al-Sheikh, the chairman of Saudi General Entertainment Authority.

Despite assembling a star-studded squad, the club has yet to secure any silverware.
