On December 15th, the Red Devils will take on the winner of the first-round encounter between Saudi Arabia's Ittihad Jeddah and New Zealand's Auckland City FC, scheduled to be held on December 12th.
The triumphant team from the second round will then proceed to the semi-final of the tournament on December 18th, where they will compete against the CONMEBOL champions.
The current edition of the FIFA Club World Cup will witness the participation of seven clubs, six of which have already been confirmed, while the representative from South America will be determined by winning the Copa Libertadores on November 4th.
Premier League champions Manchester City, the reigning UEFA Champions League champions, will enter the tournament from the semi-final stage on December 19th, facing the winner of the match between Mexican side Club Leon and Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds.
Ahly qualified to participate in the tournament after clinching the 2022/2023 CAF Champions League title, marking their 11th championship victory in the club's history.
With eight previous appearances in the World competition, Ahly's most notable achievement was securing the bronze medal in 2006, 2020, and 2021.
In their last participation, the club finished in fourth place after a 4-2 defeat to Brazilian side Flamengo in February.
