The international frontman has already found the net four times in four games, placing him second in the French League goal scorers' chart, just behind PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe who scored five goals so far.

"Since the beginning of my European career, my goal has been crystal clear - to go as far as possible," Mostafa Mohamed declared during the pre-match news conference on Thursday.

"Prior to the start of the season, I set a personal target for myself to be among the top scorers in Ligue 1."

Having joined Turkish side Galatasaray in January 2021, the former Zamalek striker moved to Nantes on a one-season loan deal in the summer of 2022.

He made an immediate impact by becoming the team's top scorer with eight goals in 36 league appearances.

Following his strong performances, Nantes decided to make Mostafa Mohamed's deal permanent this summer.

Addressing speculation about a potential move to the Saudi league, the 25-year-old forward declined to comment, emphasizing his focus on international duty with the Pharaohs and his reluctance to entertain such questions at this time.
