Sergey Pinyaev gave the visitors an early lead when he converted a penalty kick in the seventh minute following a handball by defender Hatem Sokar in the box.

Egypt dominated the game in terms of possession but couldn't find a breakthrough until the 68th minute when Ahmed Fawzi's shot from outside the box bounced off a Russian defender into his own net to score the equaliser.

Four minutes later, Al-Arabi Badr met a precise free kick with a well-placed header to claim the victory.

This is the second encounter between the two sides during this international break following their 1-1 draw on Thursday.
