The Pharaohs dominated the initial two sets, securing wins of 25-22 and 25-18.

Despite stumbling in the third set with a score of 20-25 in favour of Algeria, Egypt rallied back and clinched the fourth set 25-22, to win the game.

This victory marks Egypt's ninth title in the country's history, just two titles short of Tunisia, who hold a record of 11 titles.

Libya won the bronze medal after defeating Cameroon 3-1 in the match for third place, earlier on Wednesday.

With their continental, Egypt have also earned a spot in the 2025 World Championships alongside runners-up Algeria.

However, the Pharaohs are still vying for qualification to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
