Having won all possible titles in the previous season, Ahly is determined to start the new season by securing the continental title, reassuring their supporters that the team remains on the right path.

Ahly coach Marcel Koller is confident in his team's ability to compete for all titles, including the CAF Super Cup, and aims to build on their success.

On paper, Ahly is considered the clear favourite to claim the title, bolstered by the arrival of summer signings such as midfielder Emam Ashour and Moroccan winger Reda Slim.

French striker Anthony Modeste has also been signed, but he will not be eligible to play in the Super Cup due to his late registration in the club's list.

"I am pleased with all the new signings, as we now have a strong squad capable of competing in all competitions and achieving our goals in the new season," Ahly coach Marcel Koller told the pre-match news conference.

Keeper Mohamed El-Shennawi echoed his coach's quotes, adding, "The game against USM Alger will be tough; they are a respected team. But we are prepared to please our fans by securing the first trophy of the new season."

Meanwhile, USM Alger coach Abdelhak Benchikha admitted that his team is not the favorite to win the match but emphasized their chances for victory.

"Ahly is, on paper, the favourite to win, given its history and the titles it holds, not to mention being the team of the century. At the same time, we respect our Egyptian brothers and respect Al Ahly. Despite all of this, we also want to win," Benchikha told the CAF official website on Thursday.

He further added, "This is a football match where anything is possible. In one game, we can witness any result, which is why we are optimistic before travelling to Saudi Arabia. We are optimistic and why not come back with the cup."

Ahly have a record of eight Super Cup titles, while USM Alger has yet to secure the title.
