According to the Egyptian Presidency, El-Sisi reiterated to Patrushev Egypt's preference for diplomatic solutions to the crisis and support for all efforts to resolve it politically as soon as possible.
El-Sisi added that it was essential to end the crisis to preserve international peace and security while ending the negative economic repercussions to emerging economies, especially in food security.
The meeting also discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations in several areas and regional and international issues of common interest.
According to the Egyptian Presidency, Patrushev conveyed the greetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin to El-Sisi, emphasizing Russia's commitment to strengthening relations with Egypt as per the Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Agreement signed between the two countries.
El-Sisi reciprocated the greetings and noted the progress of Russian-Egyptian cooperation, trade, and joint projects, including the construction of the Dabaa nuclear power plant and the Russian industrial zone in the Suez Canal Zone.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, the Head of General Intelligence General Abbas Kamel, and the Presidential Advisor for National Security Affairs Fayza Abul Naga, along with several senior Russian officials.
