The 23-year-old has inked a four-year contract that will keep him at the Cairo giants until the summer of 2027.
Slim, a product of Raja de Casablanca's youth teams, garnered attention after joining FAR Rabat in 2017, where he played a pivotal role in the team's triumphant campaign last season.
Speaking in an interview with Al-Ahram Sports magazine, he emphasized the opportunities that Ahly provide for players to dream big, win trophies, become top scorers, and be part of a dream team.
"Being part of the current squad is a tremendous chance for any player to... create a lasting legacy," Slim said.
"I am committed to fighting and exceeding the fans' expectations. I believe there is much more to achieve with this team."
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception he received from the fans since his signing, Slim added, "I hope to receive the continued support of the fans. Their encouragement means a lot to me."
Slim made his debut for Ahly in the 1-0 loss to USM Algiers in the 2023 African Super Cup, showcasing an impressive performance. However, his efforts were thwarted by the solid defence of the Algerian team.
Acknowledging the fierce competition within Ahly's squad to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup, the Moroccan star acknowledged the demanding nature of the task. "Securing a regular place in the starting lineup at Ahly requires a player with exceptional qualities," he added.
"I feel a tremendous responsibility towards the club's supporters, and I am fully prepared to etch my name in the history books wearing the Reds' jersey," Slim stated.
