"Mohamed Salah will be joining the squad in the United Arab Emirates and is scheduled to participate in both of these crucial fixtures," Ghoraba told On Sports TV channel on Thursday.
The Pharaohs are set to fly to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates on 9 October and will play against Zambia on 12 October then against Algeria on 16 October as warm up games ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers that will commence in November.
Salah had been intentionally rested during the match against Ethiopia on the 8th of September, in the final game of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers to prevent his exhaustion ahead of the upcoming demanding schedule.
"Coach Rui Vitoria is slated to unveil the final squad selection on the 7th of October, and the team will embark on their journey to Al-Ain, located in the UAE, just two days later on the 9th of October. Foreign-based players will be joining the squad there after fulfilling their club commitments over the weekend," he concluded.
The seven-time African champions will initiate their World Cup qualifying campaign with a match against Djibouti on the 13th of November, followed by an away fixture against Sierra Leone on the 20th of November.
