Thirty-eight Egyptian universities were featured on The Times global rankings, including 1,904 universities across 108 countries and regions.
Alexandria University, American University in Cairo, Aswan University, Cairo University, Damietta University, Kafrelsheikh University, Mansoura University, and Zagazig University were ranked 801-1000.
Ain Shams University, Benha University, Beni-Suef University, Fayoum University, Minya University, Nile University, Suez University, Suez Canal University, Tanta University, and Zewail City of Science & Technology ranked 1001-1200.
Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport, Assiut University, British University in Egypt, Helwan University, Port Said University, Sohag University, and South Valley University were placed at the ranks of 1201-1500, while German University in Cairo entered the 1501+ bracket.
They were followed by Badr University in Cairo, Canadian International College, Delta University for Science & Technology, Egyptian Russian University, Future University in Egypt, Misr University for Science & Technology, 6 October University, October University for Modern Sciences & Arts, Pharos University, and University of Sadat City as well.
The 2024 Times Rankings are based on 18 indicators that measure an institution’s performance across five areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry, and international outlook.
Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour praised the continuous increase in the number of Egyptian universities featured annually on The Times World University Rankings.
Last year, 37 Egyptian universities were ranked in the overall index of The Times World University Rankings 2023.
