"Ibrahim Adel will return to training after six weeks to recuperate from a broken calf injury," Pyramids FC physician Mostafa El-Monairi stated during a TV program late on Saturday,

El-Monairi added that further medical examinations will determine whether surgery is necessary.

During the match against APR FC, the 22-year-old winger had to exit the field after just 12 minutes, making way for Mostafa Fathi, who went on to score a super hat trick.

Adel has made 14 appearances for Pyramids FC across various competitions, amassing an impressive record of 27 goals and nine assists since his promotion to the senior team in July 2019.

The talented winger’s contribution was crucial in Pyramids FC's achievements last season, where they secured the runner-up position in the Egyptian Premier League (EPL) and earned a spot in the African Champions League.

Despite Adel's absence, Pyramids FC remains a formidable force in African football, as they aim to clinch their first trophy in a season filled with domestic and continental competitions.

The club, financially backed by Gulf investors, is expected not to be significantly affected by Adel's injury, as they made several notable signings during the busy summer transfer window.

Among their acquisitions are international midfielder Mohanad Lasheen from Modern Future FC and  Mostafa Fathi, Youssef Osama Nabih, and Seif Gaafar from Zamalek.

In addition, they secured the services of midfielder Mohamed Reda "Bobo" from Future FC and Congolese striker Fiston Mayele from Tanzania's Young Africans.
