Egyptian Minister of Culture Nevine El-Kilany announced the agenda of the ministry's celebrations for this year.
Egypt celebrates this year the 50th anniversary of its historic victory over Israel that led to the liberation of Sinai from Israeli occupation.
The Cabinet declared that public sector employees will have a paid holiday on Thursday, 5 October.
El-Kilany said the ministry will celebrate the victory with an artistic and cultural programme, stressing that the planned events draw inspiration from the heroism and the sacrifices of the soldiers who fought the war.
She added that the events aim to instil a sense of patriotism, especially in the younger generations.

Greater Cairo Library
To celebrate the Golden Jubilee, the library organizes on 1 October an event entitled October Victory in Newspaper Archives.
Balloon Theatre
The Artistic House of Folk and Performing Arts holds a ceremony to celebrate the occasion on 10 October.
General Authority for Cultural Palaces
The Authority will hold a grand concert in Ismailia on 4 October, featuring Egyptian singer Ali El-Haggar.
Alexandria Opera House
The Opera's Sayed Darwish Theatre hosts a ceremony celebrating the October War victory on 4 October.
Damanhur Opera House
The Opera holds concerts to commemorate the victory on 5 and 6 October.
Beit El-Suhaimi Creativity Centre
The centre holds a concert on 5 October to celebrate the October War victory.
Alexandria's Freedom Centre for Creativity
A major celebration will be held at the centre on 10 October to celebrate the victory.
Academy of Arts
The academy celebrates on 4 October the Jubilee of the war with several artistic performances.
Cairo Conservatoire
Sayed Darwish Theatre holds a children's choir concert on 26 October to commemorate Egypt's victory.
National Library and Archives
The national project to document the October War will be launched to commemorate Egypt's victory.
In addition, the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the war include opening military museums to the public for free from 1 to 6 October.
