According to the National Elections Authority (NEA), presidential candidates must submit to a medical examination by the General Administration for Specialized Medical Councils.

Notary offices have started receiving endorsements for candidates on 25 September.
In order to qualify for the elections, candidates must receive endorsements from 20 MPs, or 25,000 citizens across at least 15 governorates, with at least 1,000 endorsements from each governorate.
This will be the fourth presidential election since the 25 January uprising in 2011. The latest presidential election was held in 2018.
