Hundreds of students, alumni, and professors joined the demonstrations, chanting, “With spirit and blood, we redeem you, O Al-Aqsa.”
On the third day of the escalating violence between Palestinians and Israelis, Israel launched a sustained attack on the Gaza Strip on Monday morning, where violent clashes erupted between Israelis and Palestinians.
The death toll from both sides exceeded 1,200 people.
More students in solidarity with Palestine worldwide
Earlier on Sunday, the Harvard Undergraduate Palestine Solidarity Committee and Harvard Graduate Students for Palestine expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people, lamenting the increasing civilian casualties and highlighting the role of Israeli colonial occupation in fueling the violence.
"We, the undersigned student organisations, hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence," the two entities said in a joint statement on social media.
In India, hundreds of students at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) demonstrated on campus in support of Palestine, holding posters that read “We Stand with Palestine.”
At Ohio State University in the US, the Students for Justice in Palestine union held a demonstration to support Palestine, where around 100 students and community members gathered to participate in the march.
